Privacy Policy
Last updated: March 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how FollowerCharts ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses and protects information when you visit followercharts.com. We are committed to handling your data responsibly and in accordance with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.
Who we are
FollowerCharts is operated from the United Kingdom. For questions about this policy or how we handle your data, contact us at contact@followercharts.com.
What data we collect
FollowerCharts does not require you to create an account, and we do not collect any personally identifiable information unless you contact us directly.
If you contact us by email, we will retain your email address and the content of your message for the purpose of responding to your enquiry. We will not add you to any mailing list or share your details with third parties.
If you accept analytics cookies, we collect anonymous usage data through Google Analytics 4, including pages visited, time on site, approximate geographic region (country level), device type and browser. This data is aggregated and cannot be used to identify you personally.
Cookies
We use two categories of cookies:
Essential cookies — these are necessary for the site to function correctly. They include your cookie consent preference, stored locally in your browser. No consent is required for these.
Analytics cookies — if you choose to accept, we load Google Analytics 4 which sets cookies to track anonymous usage data as described above. You can change your preference at any time via the Cookie Settings page.
Legal basis for processing
For analytics cookies, our legal basis is your consent (UK GDPR Article 6(1)(a)). We only load Google Analytics after you have explicitly accepted. For email enquiries, our legal basis is legitimate interests (UK GDPR Article 6(1)(f)) — specifically, responding to communications directed to us.
Third parties
If you accept analytics cookies, data is processed by Google LLC under the terms of Google's data processing agreement. Google Analytics is configured with IP anonymisation enabled. We do not sell, rent or share your data with any other third parties.
The creator data displayed on FollowerCharts is sourced from the YouTube Data API, Twitch API and Kick's channel API, and is publicly available information.
Data retention
Email enquiries are retained for up to 12 months and then deleted. Analytics data is retained within Google Analytics for 14 months, in line with Google's standard retention settings.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you have the right to access, correct or erase any personal data we hold about you, to object to processing, and to withdraw consent at any time. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at contact@followercharts.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The date at the top of this page reflects when it was last revised. Continued use of the site after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
